Where is The Eggs bouldering area?
The Eggs are located in Alderfer/Three Sisters Park, which is a popular (and gorgeous) Jefferson County Open Space Park in Evergreen, Colorado. Three Sisters is home to a high concentration of bouldering. This post describes one of the more popular bouldering areas in the park, The Eggs.

Parking at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park
There are two parking areas at Alderfer/Three Sisters Park. The lot closest to the trailhead is the Alderfer/Three Sisters East Trailhead, located at 30357 Buffalo Park Road, Evergreen, CO 8049.
This parking lot fills up very quickly on weekends. In this case, parking is allowed in some areas on Buffalo Park Road.
Access trail to The Eggs climbing area
From the East Trailhead parking lot, take the Hidden Fawn Trail for about half a mile. The trail is easy and mostly flat. You will see a yellow climbing access sign on the right once you arrive at the bouldering area. If you turn here, you will be at the Non Eggs bouldering area.
To reach the Trailside Egg and the Inbetween Egg/Upper Eggs climbing areas, do not turn at the yellow climbing access sign, instead, continue on the main trail for another minute or so. You will see a faint climber’s trail leading to a large boulder on the right. This boulder is the Trailside Egg. The Inbetween Egg/Upper Eggs area is just above the Trailside Egg.
Bouldering areas at The Eggs
There are over 60 boulder problems ranging from V0 to V10 at The Eggs in Three Sisters. Many of the problems range from V0 to V4, resulting in The Eggs being a popular area for beginner and intermediate outdoor boulderers.
1. Non Eggs bouldering area
This large rock face is located right off the Hidden Fawn Trail, so it is quite easy to find. This is a go-to bouldering area for everything from warm-ups to projecting.
All of the bouldering at the Non Eggs are close together on the same rock, making it easy to grab your crash pad and jump from problem to problem.
2. Trailside Egg bouldering area
Visible from the Hidden Fawn Trail, the Trailside Egg is a singular boulder with a decent amount of problems on it—mostly V0 through V4.
3. Inbetween Egg/Upper Eggs bouldering area
Another bouldering area, The Inbetween Egg/Upper Eggs, include the Cracked Egg boulder, the Scoop boulder, and the Wave boulder. This group of boulders requires a bit more scouting and moving around looking for problems. You won’t get bored up here!
